An abstract space with its own identity___
For Paysages Entrelacés, the artist developed a specific creative process unfolding as follows.
Each canvas, before being cut, represents a landscape or abstract space with its own distinct identity. This space is then fragmented, cut into strips of varying widths. Finally, the canvas is recomposed using strips drawn from one or several works.
The painter unfolding his narrative___
During recomposition, the strips may be arranged vertically or horizontally - following the original order, at random, or often under the influence of the painter as he shapes his narrative.
As a complementary dimension, the gaps between the strips are understood as spaces left open to breathe - much like silence in music, the mind seeks to fill the void, proposing a narrative that belongs to each viewer.
